I cannot believe that it is one year since the launch of Virteffic! And what a year!
The hardest thing was definitely to brave the decision to resign from a great position, and jump into the unknown of working for myself. At the start of the Covid-19 pandemic I decided to leap. I wanted to give it 1 year to see if I could gain any clients, prepared to live on my savings. It was the best decision I have ever made and I have never looked back. I love love love working for myself. A lot of the work I do is similar to the tasks that I did as an employee, but I also get to do lots of other tasks and the best thing is the flexibility of setting my own hours and work-location.
With regards to clients, I feel very lucky that I have gained a strong client base. I have been able to send out invoices every month since the launch. Some months are busier than others, and I truly enjoy those super busy periods with tight deadlines as much as those quieter periods where I make sure that I enjoy some time off.
After an amazing year of working as the sole virtual assistant for Virteffic, it is now time to take on a wider team to support our clients. I am so excited to be expanding the business and I can’t wait to introduce you to my new team members in the next couple of weeks. The amount of CVs and applications received during the recruitment process was overwhelming. I met with so many great people. Following careful consideration I am very pleased with the selected candidates. The new team members have a varied skillset. All our team members are reliable, diligent, and have excellent communication skills.
My team will have the same flexibility where they can control the hours they work. The services are provided remotely which provides great flexibility for the client as well as the Virteffic team. A good life-work balance benefits everyone: our clients, the team, and their families.
