I have over 30 years experience in the financial services sector, having held several board positions and senior executive roles.

Aaron Le Cornu, a Chartered Accountant, brings over 30 years of expertise in the financial services sector to the Virteffic team. His professional journey commenced with Arthur Andersen, where he qualified and honed his financial acumen. With a distinguished tenure spanning over a decade at HSBC, Aaron held pivotal board positions within HSBC subsidiaries, including Deputy CEO for HSBC International. His involvement in strategic ventures, such as the acquisition of Marks & Spencer Money, showcases his strategic prowess.

Throughout his career, Aaron has held senior executive roles, notably as CFO or COO at esteemed institutions like Ogier, Elian, and GLI Finance. His strategic insights have proven instrumental in navigating complex financial landscapes, bolstering operational efficiency, and contributing to growth.

As the Founder and Director of A2Z Consulting Ltd., Aaron’s entrepreneurial spirit shines, and his contributions extend to boardrooms as a Non-Executive Director of Digital 9 plc and Chairman of the Aberdeen Standard Capital Offshore Strategy Fund Ltd. With a legacy of service on boards, including a decade with Jersey Electricity plc, Aaron’s wealth of experience is an asset that enriches the Virteffic ethos.

  • Over 30 years experience in the financial services sector;
  • Served as a NED on 6 other companies;
  • 10 years on the Board of  Jersey Electricity plc, having stepped down in 2021; and
  • Involved in acquisitions such as the purchase of Marks & Spencer Money.
