June has felt like a true reflection of the business I set out to build when I launched Virteffic. A business rooted in trust, quality, and the freedom to live well while delivering exceptional service.
It was a month of contrast and balance: from fast-paced board support and minute-writing to midsummer rest in Sweden, and finally, energising connection at a London networking event. Every part of it reminded me what’s possible when you build a team and culture you can rely on.
A high-performance start to the month
We kicked off June in high gear. The Virteffic team supported a high volume of board and committee meetings, drafted detailed minutes, and worked closely with our clients to meet tight deadlines.
The pace was full-on, but the energy was fantastic. This is where we thrive—calm under pressure, detail-focused, and committed to getting the job done. I’m always proud of how the team handles intense periods with such professionalism and composure.
Stepping back and truly switching off
Midway through the month, I took two weeks of annual leave to celebrate midsummer in Sweden. I spent time with my husband, family, and friends. Long days, fresh air, meaningful conversations, and real rest.
And the best part? I was able to completely switch off, knowing that the Virteffic team had everything under control.
Clients were supported
Deadlines were met
The wheels kept turning—without me
That’s the power of building a business with trust at its core. When you surround yourself with capable, committed people, you don’t need to be everywhere at once. You can lead without micromanaging. You can rest without worry.
Trust is our foundation
This month reaffirmed something I’ve believed for a long time: excellence doesn’t need to depend on one person.
At Virteffic, we’ve embedded a culture where everyone takes ownership, and where delivering to a high standard is simply the norm. That means our clients are always supported even when someone is away. It’s one of the things I value most about the team we’ve built.
Reconnecting in London
To round off the month, I travelled to London to attend the PCD networking event. It was such a pleasure to be back in the room with other professionals sharing ideas, building relationships, and enjoying those spontaneous conversations that only happen face to face.
Events like this are a reminder that connection and visibility matter, but they’re most impactful when grounded in a strong, well-supported operation behind the scenes.
Growth isn’t just scale
This month reminded me that growth looks different for everyone.
For me, it’s not just about expanding the business or adding more services. It’s about freedom:
Freedom to step away, knowing the team has it covered
Freedom to design a business that supports life, not the other way around
Freedom to lead by example, not control
I’m proud of the business we’ve created. But I’m even more proud of the people who make it possible.
Here’s to sustainable success
At Virteffic, we talk a lot about governance, structure, and efficiency. But underneath it all, we believe in building businesses and teams that work well in real life. If you’re looking for a partner that brings calm, clarity, and trust to your board support or governance function, we’d love to hear from you.
If you’re facing a resourcing gap or need reliable, high-quality cover for a key team member, we’re here to help. Contact us today at info@virteffic.com or complete our short online form for a tailored proposal.
