At Virteffic, our dedication to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a fundamental aspect of our corporate philosophy. We believe in the power of community involvement and the positive impact it can have on society. Our commitment to CSR is reflected in our active participation in various charitable events and initiatives, which allow us to support causes that resonate with our values and mission.ย
Embracing Community Spirit: Virteffic at the Hospice Spring Huddleย
On a bright Friday afternoon, 15 March 2024, members of the Virteffic team gathered at the Royal Yacht Hotel for the eagerly anticipated Hospice Spring Huddle. This event, aimed at raising funds for Jersey Hospice, saw our sponsorship of a table for ten as a testament to our commitment to engaging with and supporting our local community. With a dress code of black and white with a splash of purple, symbolising unity and support, we participated in retail therapy with local producers and a preloved collection and indulged in a delightful champagne reception and a sumptuous three-course lunch.ย
Paint and Sip Evening: Supporting JAARย
On Friday, 17 May 2024, the Virteffic team had an incredible experience at the Paint and Sip Evening hosted by JAAR at the Harbour Gallery. Led by talented local artist Dawn Burrows, the event blended creativity, fun, and community support in a picturesque setting. Our team eagerly painted canvases under Dawn’s expert guidance, enjoying delightful drinks and canapรฉs provided by Benney and Boarder. The lively atmosphere was further enhanced by an exciting quiz, fostering camaraderie and playful competition. We extend our heartfelt thanks to JAAR for organizing this wonderful event, supporting their vital mission of aiding sexual assault survivors and their families, and are proud to contribute to such a worthy cause.ย
South Coast Charity Challenge: Supporting Jersey Mencapย
On Sunday, 19 May 2024, the Virteffic team proudly completed the 15-mile South Coast Charity Challenge, raising crucial funds for Jersey Mencap. Starting at La Rocque and blessed with glorious sunshine and a refreshing breeze, the journey provided an opportunity to experience the stunning coastal beauty while supporting a charity dedicated to individuals with learning disabilities in Jersey. This demanding yet rewarding walk allowed our team to bond and strengthen connections beyond their virtual roles.ย
Virteffic Team Shines at Jersey Offshore Rowing Regatta
At the start of June, the Virteffic-sponsored rowing team, led by Emma and Claire, showcased their outstanding teamwork and dedication at the Jersey Offshore Rowing Regatta. This event highlighted their commitment to inclusivity, welcoming newcomers to join seasoned crew members Steph, Kat, and Netty (the coxswain) in thrilling races. Despite setbacks such as weather-related cancellations in 2023, the team remains resilient and eagerly looks forward to the upcoming 2024 season, preparing for challenging competitions like the Gorey to Carteret and Sark to Jersey races, as well as the prestigious Herm Rocks rowing regatta.
These events not only allow us to contribute to important causes but also strengthen our team bonds and enhance our corporate culture. Through these efforts, we demonstrate our unwavering commitment to CSR and our belief in the importance of making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.ย
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
Virteffic offers charitable rates when helping charities and non-profit organisations with minutes and other admin to cover our payroll costs (e.g. not for profit-making purposes).
We also donate money to charities over the year through a couple of initiatives.
In addition, we support the community through sponsorships. We have sponsored Silhouette Studios in February 2022, the Jersey Raquetball festival in April 2022, a Durell Tortoise for the Trinity School in January 2023, and a rowing boat for a local team of rowers in 2023.
Positive Impact
Our sponsorships enable us to connect and engage with the local community in line with our strategic objectives. Since its inception, Virteffic has been actively involved in social and environmental initiatives. We will continue to support areas that our team feels passionate about and that align with our brand and core values.
Members of our team are also encouraged to take part in CSR and ESG activities. Donations enable us to engage our team members, meet our CSR and ESG targets, and empower our local community.
