Celebrating 40: Reflecting on My Journey and Achievements

Turning 40 is more than just a milestone; it’s a chance to reflect on the incredible journey and accomplishments that brought me here. From my humble beginnings in Sweden to making Jersey my home in 2006, each step has shaped my path.

In 2020, after 15 years in corporate, trust, and fiduciary roles in Jersey, I embarked on a new adventure. Leaving a regulated director position, I founded Virteffic Limited, driven by a passion for independence and flexibility. Virteffic has become a hub for corporate governance and secretarial expertise. As Founder and Managing Director, I’ve overseen key aspects, leading the company’s growth. From drafting minute-to-board effectiveness reviews, my corporate governance skills have been integral.

Beyond Virteffic, my professional journey includes roles at some fantastic organisations in Jersey. I have learned heaps, grown professionally, and had the pleasure of collaborating with some truly awesome people. Going back further, my very first job at 15 was as a cleaner at the waste stations (then eventually got promoted to cleaning offices and the city hall), and I then moved on to being a blackjack croupier. Then a nurse while I studied Analytical Finance a programme consisting of economics, business administration, marketing, and math at Mälardalen University. Every experience has added a unique shade to my palette.

In my early 20s, I temporarily moved to Jersey to visit Emma Godfrey and waitress in a Pub, only to be swept off my feet by my Jersey husband in 2007. Life’s journey has been peppered with great friendships, love, travel adventures, delightful dining experiences, and a newfound love for playing padel.

Here’s to 40 years of learning, growing, and building. Excited for the next chapter, surrounded by incredible people and continuing to learn and develop. Cheers to embracing change and unlocking new possibilities!

As the heart and soul behind Virteffic LimitedI’ve carved a niche in the Channel Islands’ business landscape and reshaped the traditional work environment. 

With a rich background as a Chartered Secretary and an Associate of ICSA, alongside bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Financial Administration, I bring deep expertise in corporate governance and secretarial support from my time at institutions like HSBC Private Bank and RBC Wealth Management, as well as leadership roles at Intertrust (former Ogier and Elian) and Maples Group.

My journey and the evolution of Virteffic are testaments to the possibilities that unfold when professional aspirations align with personal well-being.
