How Virteffic grew from a one-woman start-up to a leading co sec partner 

In 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic, I stepped away from my director role at a regulated trust and company business in Jersey and founded Virteffic Limited. The vision was simple but powerful: to create a business built on independence, flexibility, and wellbeing.

What began as a solo venture quickly became a trusted partner for boards and businesses in Jersey, Guernsey, the UK, and the Cayman Islands.

From Sweden to the Channel Islands

Originally from Sweden, I moved to Jersey in 2006 with the intention of staying only briefly. Instead, the island became my long-term home and the foundation of my career.

Over 15 years, I worked across trust, fund, and corporate services, supporting boards and regulated entities with governance, compliance, and administration. During this time, I built a reputation for precision, reliability, and calmness under pressure which are qualities that continue to define Virteffic’s approach to client service today.

Meeting a Growing Need

From the very first client, it was clear there was demand for a new way of working. Boards and professionals needed trusted support they could call on for busy periods, complex projects, or when internal resources were stretched.

Within just a couple of weeks, I contracted with my first client and new instructions arrived each month thereafter, and many of those early clients remain with us today. Their trust gave Virteffic the foundation to grow. By 2021, demand had outpaced what I could deliver alone, and the team began to grow.

Today, Virteffic is a multi-jurisdiction team of experienced professionals who share the same commitment to quality, discretion, and client service. We support a wide range of clients; from fiduciary and private equity to legal and corporate firms, as well as charities and public bodies.

Our model is remote-first and flexible, built on mutual trust. This allows our team to work in a way that supports their lives and wellbeing, while providing the adaptability and responsiveness our clients value most. The result is a collaborative culture where people and clients truly come first.
