The workplace is changing

The workplace is changing

2020 was the most disruptive and challenging year and 2021 has continued on the same pattern. However, a crisis can rejuvenate the way we operate, and make us think and act more dynamically and innovatively.

The pandemic has changed the workplace

☑️ The pandemic became a catalyst for change. It has accelerated the update of virtual services and the remote worker landscape.

☑️ It is clear that the remote workforce is valuable and it is clear that individuals and teams can flourish remotely.

☑️ We have implemented a lot of changes in how we communicate.

☑️ There has been an expanded use of technology, in particular technology that brings people together.

☑️ Meetings do not have to take place face-to-face in board rooms and can take place via video platforms. Reduced travel is beneficial for the environment.

☑️ People can work seamlessly in any location, accessing all files, data, and software securely.

☑️ Wellbeing is the most important, and core responsibility of good managers.

The workplace is changing

Although the vaccine brings an immense sense of hope, we all understand that nothing is going to be the same once and that a return to ‘business as usual’ is unlikely.

Now is time to plan ahead for what could be the ultimate come-back year. Think about how you’re going to work smarter, not harder. By aiming to work less, and stress less you will find yourself with more time to spend on life, family, and yourself.

The workplace is changing. The ‘traditional’ 9 to 5 jobs are still there, however many are looking for flexible solutions. Hiring an additional staff member can be too costly. Fear and uncertainty from the latest global challenge spells trouble for a lot of businesses and institutions across all sectors. In light of this, this may not be the time to hire an employee.

Virteffic, a professional Virtual Assistant based in Jersey

The concept of virtual assistants is attractive since it has a low cost, low risk, and high flexibility, which is appreciated in this period of uncertainty. A virtual assistant is an alternative to hiring a full-time administrator or secretarial officer. You only pay for the time and services you need – and you can stop using the services at any time. Having a virtual assistant located remotely has no impact on your operational costs. For example, you don’t have to supply a desk or any office space. Moreover, there are no benefits to pay, no training costs, utility bills, or even internet connection.

In conclusion, it is modern, convenient, and cost-efficient.  Virteffic can assist as an extension to your on-site employees. In general, a virtual assistant can perform most tasks that a regular employee can do.

Virteffic’s packages are fully flexible and tailored to the needs of your business. Some clients may just need assistance as a one-off for a specific project. There may also be a need to cover during temporary staff absence. Other clients may need close to full-time support whilst they are recruiting for a permanent employee.
