Jasmine Fox Joins Team Virteffic

Jasmine brings more than 12 years of experience across financial services, including accounting, business analysis, systems implementation and, most recently, committee support within a leading private equity firm.

Her experience supporting Investment Committees and Portfolio Analysis Committees, combined with her background in finance, administration and business analysis, gives Jasmine a practical understanding of the pace, detail and governance considerations involved in supporting funds and their underlying businesses.

It also means Jasmine joins Virteffic with a particularly useful perspective. Having worked within a private equity organisation, she understands governance and administrative support from the client’s side of the relationship.

A Varied Route Through Financial Services

Jasmine’s career has not followed one narrow path. She began in a reception and office support role before moving internally into finance, where she spent several years gaining accounting experience.

Looking for a different challenge, Jasmine later became a business analyst, supporting systems implementation projects for administration businesses.

More recently, Jasmine worked within a private equity firm supporting committees connected with its buyout funds, including Investment Committees and Portfolio Analysis Committees. Her work involved organising meetings, attending committee discussions and preparing the resulting minutes.

The role exposed Jasmine to a wide variety of businesses and markets, something she particularly enjoyed about working in the funds sector.

For Jasmine, that variety meant approaching each meeting with an open mind, understanding the subject matter and undertaking the necessary research rather than assuming one situation would look like the next.

Bringing the Client Perspective

One of the most useful aspects of Jasmine’s experience is having worked within the type of organisation receiving professional support.

As Jasmine explains:

“Having just moved from a private equity firm myself, I bring the perspective of the client rather than only the administrative support.”

Jasmine has seen how quickly funds-related work can move and how important timely, reliable support becomes when commercial activity accelerates.

In Jasmine’s experience, funds clients particularly value accountability, reliability and flexibility.

At the same time, responsiveness cannot come at the expense of good governance.

Jasmine’s view of excellent client service is not simply about saying yes or completing a task quickly. It also means understanding what is in the client’s best interests and having the confidence to identify when an important governance step needs to happen before the next stage can proceed.

Her experience reinforced the importance of accurate records, effective organisation and clear governance processes, particularly when decisions need to be made efficiently and with confidence.

That combination of commercial awareness, responsiveness and respect for good governance is an important addition to Team Virteffic.

Looking Ahead

Since joining Virteffic, Jasmine has been supporting work connected with client meetings and wider administrative activity.

She is looking forward to becoming more involved in client-facing work, expanding her governance knowledge and assisting with Virteffic’s Board Effectiveness Review services.

Jasmine’s private equity and committee experience will also contribute to Virteffic’s growing funds capability and our wider Funds in Focus content, where we will explore the practical realities of supporting fund governance, Boards and Committees.
