The Story about Virteffic
I moved from Sweden to Jersey in 2006 to capitalise on my finance degree and to get some working experience to compliment my academic background. What was meant to be temporary turned out to be permanent. Consequently, fifteen years later, Jersey is my home. I have always enjoyed working in the finance industry. Particularly, I have liked the diversified tasks and the element of problem solving.
We have all seen significant changes over the last few months as we have adapted our work and home lives due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Personally, whilst being ill with Covid-19 for several weeks, I had time to do a lot of thinking. I had a really good job where I worked hard and had created a very strong career path for myself. However, I have always had a vision and goal of one day being an entrepreneur.
I decided to take a leap and to set up my own business. Virteffic let me use my background and skills to realize my dream. Meanwhile, it is allowing flexible working hours and a better work – life balance. I can spend my morning running along the beach and sorting out the house, and then work late evenings when I feel the most creative. I can choose to work 24/7 for a period to then take a long-weekend trip with my friends (when the airspace and borders allow this).
Ultimately, I am driven by a desire to be excellent and thrive working in an inspiring place promoting positive change and development.
About the Name - Virteffic
The name Virteffic comes from Virtual and Efficency with Tess (me) in the middle, overlapping both the virtual and efficient part.
A virtual assistant is generally self-employed and provides professional administrative, technical, or creative assistance to clients remotely from a home office.

Ultimately, that leaves clients with more time to do what they love. I am proactive and forward-thinking. In particular, where long-term services are being provided, I will get to know your business and stay one step ahead at all times. Conclusively, this will free up your time further.
My organisation skills enable me to manage the workload effectively, and I can prioritise tasks based on importance. Strict timescales and short deadlines is not a problem.
When you engage with Virteffic, it will always be a collaborative and professional relationship. In essence, communication is not just a one-way interaction. Due to the virtual nature of the relationship, communication is particularly important. Consequently, communication guidelines based on your preference will be set at outset to ensure smooth service delivery.

I’m truly passionate about my work and enjoy the variety of tasks and the technical challenges.
