Virteffic’s Creative Evening at the Paint and Sip Event with JAAR

Virteffic team members painting canvases at The Harbour Gallery, guided by local artist Dawn Burrows.

On Friday, 17 May 2024, the Virteffic team had an incredible experience at the Paint and Sip Evening hosted by JAAR at the Harbour Gallery. The event, led by the talented local artist Dawn Burrows, provided a perfect blend of creativity, fun, and community support.

As we gathered in the picturesque setting of The Harbour Gallery, our team was eager to let our creativity flow. Under Dawn Burrows’ expert guidance, we painted beautiful canvases, each stroke bringing our unique masterpieces to life. The atmosphere was lively and vibrant, with delightful drinks and scrumptious canapés provided by Benney and Boarder enhancing our painting experience.

The evening was not just about art; it was also filled with laughter and camaraderie. An exciting quiz added a competitive edge to the night, bringing out our playful spirits and fostering a sense of togetherness. The joy of winning prizes and the shared moments of fun made the event truly memorable.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to JAAR for organizing such a wonderful event. It was a privilege to participate and support their vital mission of providing aid to sexual survivors and their families. The work JAAR does is incredibly important, and we are proud to contribute to such a worthy cause.

Supporting JAAR: How Your Donations Make a Difference

JAAR exists entirely through the generosity of its supporters, and they are incredibly grateful to everyone who has donated. It costs over £200,000 each year to maintain their services, yet all of their support for clients remains free of charge.

JAAR relies on the support of fundraising by the general public, local companies, and trusts to enable them to continue caring for survivors, helping them cope with and recover from the trauma of rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment, and childhood sexual abuse.

If you send in a donation that is over £50 and you are a Jersey taxpayer, you can complete a Tax Rebate Form (R10), allowing JAAR to claim an additional 25% back from Income Tax on top of your donation.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Virteffic offers charitable rates when helping charities and non-profit organisations with minutes and other admin to cover our payroll costs (e.g. not for profit-making purposes).
