I am Louise Burton
Assistant Manager
Corporate Governance, Company Secretarial and Board Support
I specialise in secretarial support, governance, and administration services, with over 12 years of experience in Guernsey’s financial services industry.
As a STEP-qualified professional, I bring a wealth of technical knowledge and practical insight to help streamline corporate processes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Professional Background
Most of my career was spent with a small independent fiduciary in Guernsey, where I progressed from client-facing roles into a key Company Secretarial position.
My experience includes managing the company secretarial aspects of administration for a wide range of client companies, as well as overseeing internal governance processes for in-house companies and committees.
During this time, I also drafted, gained approval for, and implemented new internal policies and procedures—highlighting my commitment to continuous improvement, regulatory alignment, and operational efficiency.
My Strengths
- Extensive experience in secretarial support, policy drafting, and corporate governance
- Strong understanding of Guernsey’s financial services landscape and compliance environment
- STEP-qualified, with a strong technical foundation in trust and company administration
- Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines
- Adaptable and collaborative — able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
I pride myself on being thorough, efficient, and proactive—offering reliable board support and administration to help our clients meet their governance responsibilities with confidence.
I am extremely organised with the ability to prioritise, take initiative and handle multiple workload pressures.
